I met Joyce about 18 years ago in the wild world of e-commerce, and from the very beginning, I knew she was someone special. We clicked instantly—two passionate entrepreneurs with big dreams and even bigger hearts. While I was building my own path, Joyce was already deep into hers, combining her unshakable love for dogs with a powerful mission: training them to bring healing, joy, and comfort to those who need it most.
Today, she’s the badass leader behind BonaFideTherapyDogs.com, an organization that places well-trained therapy dogs in nursing homes, libraries, schools, and beyond. Watching kids read to her dogs? Absolute magic. Seeing the smiles her pups bring to seniors? Heart-melting. And through it all, Joyce leads with passion, love, and grit.
Not only is she a dear friend, I’m also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for BonaFide Therapy Dogs. We continue to support each other’s businesses, lift each other up, and push our missions forward—because that’s what real friends (and dog lovers) do.
