Ladies Of The Kitchen

I first met Maria Derosa, founder of Ladies of The Kitchen, during a pivotal moment in my life when I was stuck in a state of fight or flight. We connected on Zoom during the pandemic and began attending mindset retreats for women together.

It was through these shared experiences that I saw Maria’s incredible passion for helping others heal. She created Ladies of The Kitchen with a beautiful mission in mind: to help women find healing and empowerment through the art of cooking. I’m proud to call her my friend and admire the impact she continues to make in the lives of so many.

Maria's journey below:

In 2012 life arrived on the cusp of my 60th birthday, I realized I was entering 2nd chapter of life  completely lost. Within 2 years, I  had lost my dad, my marriage and my restaurant business of 28 years. I looked the mirror and made myself a 3-fold promise to herself:

1) counseling, therapy, personal development or fellowship will always be part of my healing

2) maintain health as a priority

3) explore new options for seeking joy in life.

Committed to this promise within 2 years, incorporating my skills as a former high school Spanish teacher & a restaurant owner, it made sense to incorporate my love for baking and healthy tasty meals. Today that vision has evolved into my business, Ladies of the Kitchen.

My work centers on discovering joy in the kitchen and building a community around food and comradery. M service includes webinars, Masterclasses both on line & in person to build this community. My personal financial & emotional loss served its purpose. For today my sole mission is to dissipate such pain for others using all 5 senses to prepare healthy meals.  It’s a form of therapy that offers women strength, hope and wisdom.
