That word grounded
is a safe place for me
but sometimes I wander
and forget how to be.
It's a body remembering,
a gentle return
to the steadiness within me,
a calmness I earn.
When life shifts around me,
plans scatter and fade
grounding becomes
the anchor I've made.
This is a process
I've slowly learned well,
when knocked off my feet
by the stories I tell.
Yet each time I rise
to reclaim solid ground
I trust in myself,
where peace can be found.
So I breathe, and I pause,
and let calmness flow in
Grounded once more,
ready again to begin.
